Results of treatment with EVLT
Varicose veins have a tendency to come back after operation. Recurrence of veins is common after standard surgery.
Several studies have been carried out on both the effectiveness and the recovery associated with EVLT treatment.
In summary, recurrence of varicose veins after EVLT treatment may be less likely than with standard surgery in the short term. The recovery rate after EVLT is also faster than with a standard vein stripping.
In addition, as there are no skin incisions, the incidence of wound infection is much lower than after open surgery.
